Terms of Use

These terms govern your use of CoopFinPlus, the cooperative management platform operated by AUSCA: the web dashboard, the member portal, the mobile app and the public cooperative shops it hosts (together, "the platform"). By using the platform you accept them.

Each cooperative on the platform is a separate society with its own registered bye-laws. Your membership, and every savings, loan, welfare, share or store product, is governed first by your cooperative's bye-laws and product terms; these platform terms sit underneath them and never override them. Cooperatives themselves are additionally bound by their subscription agreement with AUSCA.

Accounts

• Member and staff accounts are created by, and belong to, a cooperative. Give accurate information and keep it current.
• Keep your password and one-time codes private. Actions taken with your credentials count as yours, so report a suspected compromise immediately.
• Guest shoppers on a cooperative's public shop transact without an account, under the price, payment and collection terms shown at checkout.

Balances, requests and records

• Figures shown in the app reflect your cooperative's books. If you believe a figure is wrong, raise it with your cooperative; its reconciled records are authoritative.
• Submitting a request, such as a withdrawal or a loan application, is a request, not a completed transaction, until your cooperative approves and posts it.

Payments

Online card payments are processed by Paystack under Paystack's own terms, into your cooperative's own account. Cash and bank transfer payments follow your cooperative's receipting process. Fees, where they apply, are shown before you confirm or are set out in your cooperative's bye-laws.

Acceptable use

• No unlawful use, fraud or misrepresentation.
• No attempting to access another person's or another cooperative's records.
• No probing, overloading or interfering with the platform or its security.

Access may be suspended for breach of these terms, subject to the rights your cooperative's bye-laws give you as a member.

Availability and changes

The platform is provided "as is". We work to keep it available, accurate and secure, but it may be interrupted by maintenance or events outside our control, and features may change as the platform improves. Significant changes are announced in the app.

Liability

Nothing here removes rights you have under Nigerian law or under your cooperative's bye-laws. Beyond that, AUSCA is not liable for losses caused by events outside its reasonable control, by a cooperative's own decisions about its products and approvals, by your breach of these terms, or by credentials you failed to keep private. AUSCA's total liability in connection with the platform is limited to the value of the transaction that gave rise to the claim.

Intellectual property

The platform, its code, design and branding belong to AUSCA or its licensors. Each cooperative's data belongs to that cooperative.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the Nigerian courts, after any dispute process your cooperative's bye-laws provide.
